Bike Week Pasadena 2009 encompasses a week of festivities and rides that celebrate and encourage bicycling as a healthy alternative to the automobile, May 11 through 16, 2009. All Bike Week Pasadena activities are free and open to the public.

Community Screening : 'Contested Streets'
Sponsored by Pasadena Playhouse District
Reel Life Solutions: Contested Streets is an informative and inspiring documentary flick that kicks asphalt in a whole new direction. Explore the rich diversity of New York City street life before the automobile, and discover how NYC, following examples of other modern cities, can reclaim its streets as vibrant public spaces. Bike Night at the Rose Bowl : Sponsored by Incycle Pasadena
Mayor Bill Bogaard and other community members will jump start the evening for Bike Night at the Rose Bowl. Join the C.I.C.L.E. ride leader team for a family-friendly bike ride around the Rose Bowl loop. Bring the kids down for a special kids street closure featuring a kids bike rodeo, face painting, street art and a kids jumper. Enjoy bike demos from Incycle, great prizes, e-bike demos and more!
Gather at 5:45p.m. for a bike ride with the Mayor at the Rose Bowl on Arroyo Blvd between Rosemont Ave. and Seco St.
All other festivities run until 8:00pm.

All Aboard the East-West Express Bike Train. Hop on board at a bike station near you. Join us for a progressive, relaxed and scenic bicycle journey across Pasadena. Disembark at our fun-filled final destination--the Pedal Party at a surprise indoor venue at One Colorado. It's the last day of our Bike Week Journey and it's time to celebrate! Mingle with friends over a cold New Belgium Brewing Co. ale or an Izze Soda. Fill your bellies with scrumptious treats, courtesy of One World Vegetarian Cuisine, check out the latest goods from local bike artisans and get a chance to win fabulous raffle prizes. What a way to end an incredible week. This is a fund-raising party for C.I.C.L.E. So come out and show us that you love us. The East-West Express Ride meets at Memorial Park at 3:30 PM and features multiple pick-up points along the route. Departs Memorial Park at 4:00 PM sharp.
