Bike to Work Day Pitstop

Celebrate this nationally recognized day for bicycles at the Shops on South Lake. Bicycle riders are honored on this special occasion for the commutes made by bicycle throughout the year. C.I.C.L.E. hosts this Bike to Work Day Pit Stop with local businesses in the area, Metro and the City of Pasadena Department of Transportation. Learn more about bike routes, meet other bicycle commuters, and relax with some yummy treats during this exciting, bike-centric afternoon.

Pasadena and the Bicycle: A Historical Romance

Once boasting the most bicycles per capita, Pasadena has a rich and exciting association with the bicycle. With Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, we are excited to present as part of Bike Week Pasadena 2010, a journey back into history to open up the story books of old Pasadena bike culture. Historians and experts will dive into the great mystery of the Pasadena Cycleway and more! Also on display during the event, Pasadena bicycles circa 1900’s. C.I.C.L.E. presents this unique event with the partnership of the City of Pasadena, Pasadena Public Library and the Pasadena Museum of History.
Enjoy food provided by One World Vegetarian Restaurant and beer provided by New Belgium Brewing Company before and after the event. Complimentary museum admission granted to event attendees.

The Pasadena Crosstown Ride will scour the streets of Pasadena, picking up new riders at various Pasadena districts (Paseo, Lake, Playhouse,) before ending at the One Colorado shopping area for a fun evening filled with a silent auction, music, prizes, drinks, food and more!

The grand finale of Bike Week Pasadena 2010 is the celebrated ‘Families and Bikes’ Day. Join C.I.C.L.E. and the City of Pasadena and other enthusiastic parents on Saturday, May 22nd from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM for this free, fun and informational day centered around the bicycle. Pasadena’s Central Park provides the perfect backdrop for this memorable event fostering the growing relationship between the bicycle and the family.

Bike Week Pasadena is a citywide effort to highlight the benefits of bicycling.
