Tour da Arts, vol. 3
Santa Monica Museum of Art’s Cause for Creativity and C.I.C.L.E.’s Urban Expeditions have joined forces again! Get ready for the third annual Tour da Arts.
Three’s the charm and this year YOU help make the art! First, SMMoA is having a “Bike Critter Art Contest.” Your artwork could be chosen to represent Tour da Arts. This contest pays homage to Shay, C.I.C.L.E.’s founder, who designed the first critter. The deadline to submit an original bike critter drawing is July 6!
Our ride features stops at The Broad Stage for a dazzling world music and dance performance by Global Motion and then to Santa Monica City Hall for some cool Jazz on the Lawn featuring The Electones. Finally, we return to SMMoA to join forces with several music artists to culminate in a collaborative performance piece called The Bicycle Bell Ensemble led by artist Patrick Miller!
Grab your French beret, and bike on over to this funky-fun art jam and cultural bike event!
