BIKE CARMAGEDDON! C.I.C.L.E.'s Orange Line Valley Ride
In anticipation of the 405 Fwy closure on September 29th and 30th, stay out of your car, zip past traffic jams, shop local, and join C.I.C.L.E.’s Carmageddon Valley Ride on Sunday, September 30th. This ride is generously supported by Metro’s Bike Program whose mission is to make bicycling more viable in L.A. County.
The 8 mile bicycle ride will begin at the Balboa Orange Line Station and follow the Metro Orange Line Bus Way Bike Path between two great community spaces. The ride will take place along the Bike Path through the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Center and will stop at the Japanese Gardens to enjoy the Garden of Water and Fragrance and experience complete tranquility. The Japanese Garden will provide complementary admission to bicyclists joining the ride. The ride will loop over to the ONEgeneration Encino Farmer’s Market where participants can purchase tasty, energizing snacks.
Don’t miss this car-free community event! Participants are encouraged to take public transit to the beginning of the ride to facilitate a truly car-free experience. As with all of C.I.C.L.E.’s rides, this ride is under 10 miles, family-friendly, leisurely paced and led by experienced ride leaders.
