Rails-to-Trails Conservancy: TrailLink

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create a nationwide network of trails from  former rail lines and connecting corridors to build healthier places for healthier people. As a nation-wide advocate for trails and active transportation, Rails-to-Trails supports more than 20,000 miles of rail-trail throughout the country.

Rails-to-Trails has accessible information by state for all types of active transportation activities, including bicycling. Rail-trails often have a flat, even grade that offer ideal conditions for road and hybrid bikes!
