Volunteer
Volunteering is a great way to connect with other community-oriented bicyclists to create lasting positive change for our community. Our volunteer positions are fun and rewarding, and we strive to link volunteers to projects that match their interests, talents, and schedules. We currently have several volunteer opportunities available. No experience is necessary, and all training will be provided.

Web Mapping Guru: Back Roads L.A. Web-Based Community Mapping Project
C.I.C.L.E.’s Back Roads L.A. mapping project has collected almost 50 bike friendly routes submitted to us by local bicyclists. We’re currently looking for someone to integrate all of our community submitted routes onto one dynamic web-based network-view map. A network view would feature the connectivity between the routes (city-wide). If you have any technical expertise in this area, and would like to help make this happen, please contact us via email and/or phone.
Urban Expeditions’ Ride Planners
The Urban Expeditions subcommittee oversees the planning and execution of our monthly Urban Expeditions’ ride series. Urban Expeditions is one way that C.I.C.L.E.’s is working to grow a broader bicycling community. Creating a ride plan that’s both inviting and supportive to beginning riders is a key part of our planning effort. If you’re interested in being part of the planning process, contact us by email or phone to let us know.
C.I.C.L.E Promotion and Outreach
C.I.C.L.E.’s primary mission is to grow and support the bicycling community by providing the ongoing guidance, encouragement and support that help people live an enjoyable bicycle lifestyle. In order to meet with our goal, it’s vitally important that we connect with not just the existing bicycle community, but with a larger non-cycling public as well. Help C.I.C.L.E. broaden our reach and impact by assisting us with our promotion and outreach efforts. We could use your help in the following areas; one-time and/or ongoing flyering efforts, online outreach efforts—email blasts, posting on forums and community calendars, etc., management of one or more of C.I.C.L.E.’s social networking platforms, tabling at community events. If you’d like to help out, email us or give us a call.
Urban Expeditions Ride Team
Urban Expeditions Ride Leaders work as a team to help facilitate our Urban Expeditions’ rides, and ensure that the ride environment is relaxed and safe. Our rides introduce beginning riders to urban traffic situations in a buffered and supportive environment, and many of our new riders can directly benefit from the knowledge and encouragement from an experienced rider like you. If you’d like to be a part of this growing team, be sure to email us or contact us by phone. More information about Urban Expeditions’ ride leadership is in the e-booklet below.
