[[image:mini_bikewinter4_article.jpg::inline:1]]As BikeWinter L.A. 2007 comes into full swing, Portlanders are getting ready to catapult their mini-bikes into action as Mini-Bike Winter IV opening day approaches.
A little cross-bike-cultural exchange is being encouraged, as Rev Phil ( PDX Grand Master zoobomber), is personally inviting those seeking an extended season of Bike Winter madness, to come on up and partake in the PDX Mini-Bike Winter pleasure.
As Rev Phil puts it, “the MBW IV is gonna be hot!”
From February 14th to the 19th you can enjoy a jam-packed lineup of mini-bike centric events. From Minibike Bowling, Microcross, to the Nekkid Torch Ride, where you can ride nekkid with fire at the same time, there’s bound to be a mini-bike event created just for you.
PDX bike-cultural events certainly have an original flair, and one can only imagine how mini-bike bowling will transform a rather dull sport into one of harrowing death defying feats — or perhaps that’s only my imagination gone wild. It could just as easily consist of a bunch of gentle bike folk, rolling mini-bikes down a “lane” and knocking over pins, and sipping on microbrews. But only a trip to Mini-Bike Winter IV will answer these lingering questions.
There’s still time to plan a trip up there, and there’s an email contact provided on the MBW IV website for those that need to make lodging arrangements.
