[[image:go_green_inside.jpg::inline:0]]C.I.C.L.E. has teamed up with the premier and only women's and juniors Cyclocross Bicycle racing team in Southern California for a Greener Planet! Long time Queen of Cyclocross, Dorothy Wong, has assembled a team of Elite and Amateur women and junior Cyclocross racers that will help promote C.I.C.L.E, and create a greater community awareness about our message–promoting the bicycle as a healthy and sustainable form of transportation.

The 2007 Cyclocross season has just gotten under way, and we’ve already had a team win. Carolyn Popovic, riding for Team C.I.C.L.E., raced her way to the top of the podium at the MABRA Cyclocross series season opening at Charm City in Baltimore, Maryland. What a great way to start the season.

This weekend, Team C.I.C.L.E. will be racing locally in the SoCalCross Certified Green Prestige Series kick off at the Muckenthaler Bicycle Festival Weekend in Fullerton. The Bicycle Festival weekend, which celebrates cycling as sport, recreation, and transportation, will feature a full schedule of Cyclocross races, a clinic for riders, informational booths about cycling, art activities for children, an evening of bicycle films, and last but not least, beer flowing courtesy of New Belgium Brewery!

As part of the Prestige Series, C.I.C.L.E. is sponsoring the Go Green Racer Competition, which encourages racers to go a step further. The Go Green Racer competition will reward each racer's weekly Eco-actions. Each racer will earn points on their Go Green Racer Scorecard for doing their part to become Certified Green. The points leader will be rewarded with the honor of wearing the Go Green leader's jersey throughout the season. At the series Grand Finale, Santa Cross–The Prestige Series will reward those who cooled off the most. One lucky racer will win the overall Prestige Series Go Green Racer championship grand prize. Plus the Top 10 racers and Best Eco Team in points will win special prizes from our Eco-Sponsors!

So come out and join us for the start of the Certified Green Prestige Series. We’ll be there on Saturday, so be sure to pay us a visit at the C.I.C.L.E. booth.
