Every year, the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic gives out toys, warm gloves, hats and socks to families and children in need. This year, the clinic will get a little extra help gathering up the gift items. C.I.C.L.E. (Cyclists Inciting Change thru LIVE Exchange), a local bicyclist advocacy group, is hosting the Car-Free Hauliday Toys & Mittens Ride on December 2, to help round up the much-needed toys and warm clothing.
Riders will meet at the Sunset/Vermont Red Line Station at 12:30 pm and wind their way through the neighborhood, promoting the gift of clean air. Participants are encouraged to deck out their bikes holiday-style and dress up for the festive bicycle ride that will tour the streets of Los Angeles hauling gifts, bringing good cheer, and delivering a hopeful message.
The organizers of the Toys & Mittens Ride want people in L.A. to think about children and those in need not just once a year, but everyday. Los Angeles is the nation
