Drop the weight of your daily automobile usage and gain a more intimate connection with your community and yourself.
Designed specifically with the car-lite neophyte in mind, this presentation will show you how easy it is to start living a car-lite lifestyle.
Learn how to create great bike routes, how to carry loads on your bike, how to keep your experiences positive and fun, and much more.
Now if you’re already a well-seasoned bike commuter, you probably already know most of what will be covered in this presentation. But, if you know someone who’d like to loose that extra 3,000 pounds, and they don’t know where to begin, this is a good place to send ‘em.

This is great news. However, I won’t be able to attend. I would have to DRIVE there after work which is something I really don’t want to do; yes, I know about METRO and it’s schedules. We really need something in the San Fernando Valley. Most of what I see happening is in the downtown LA, westside or Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley areas. Just my 0.02 worth.
Yeah… I hear what you’re saying. We (C.I.C.L.E.) would love to be able to get out there at some point. It’s a little challenging for us right now, because our outreach is based on a 100% volunteer effort that is really limited to what personal time and funding that we have available. Working close to home is what is easiest, but we really do want to spread out a bit. As we are able to expand our outreach efforts, we will definitely keep the San Fernando Valley in mind as one our future stops.
Thanks for reaching out.
The presentation was great! I was encouraged and inspired by your collaboration with Patagonia et al. Thanks for your good work!
There are several of us out here in the valley who happen to ride bikes, I do my own builds and repairs, shop for parts at Atomic Bikes, and generally ride around. A good place to start to meet the valley people might be to show up at the Valley Critical Mass, 1st tuesday of the month, victory & Woodley, 7:30pm. In addition to the last saturday of the month, CruzzWithUs/MidnightRidazz ride, some of us are going to “go public” with our mid-week rides in the valley. Watch BikeBoom.com for more valley rides. Ride your bike, you’re not alone.
